May 28 – Being a Doer of the Word
Being a doer of the Word means translating Scripture into action. It is not enough to hear, read, or even understand the Word; it must be practised. True engagement with Scripture is completed in obedience.
This matters because the application is what produces results. The Word only benefits the believer when it is lived out. Action turns truth into experience and knowledge into transformation.
When the Word is not acted upon, self-deception sets in. People assume they are growing simply because they are exposed to Scripture. In reality, without action, there is no progress.
DAILY EXERCISE
Choose one instruction from the Scripture.
Apply it deliberately today without delay.
PRAYER
Father, help me to be a doer of Your Word. Let my life reflect what I learn from Scripture. I pray for believers, families, students, and leaders across Nigeria that they will practise Your Word daily. Lord, we ask that across nations, people will move from hearing to doing. Strengthen the Church worldwide to live out Your truth.
CONFESSION
I am a doer of the Word. I live out God’s truth daily.
