Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read 2 Corinthians 4:16–17 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What does this passage tell us about hope?
- What questions do you still have?
A: Application
What's one thing you can do to remind yourself to persevere this week?
Who can you talk to about a challenge you're facing?
How could this passage help you remind others of the hope God gives us?
P: Prayer
Spend time talking to God about what feels unclear in your life. Ask for perspective and the strength to keep going. Thank God for continuing to guide you.

About this Plan

Being ghosted hurts, leaving us feeling unseen and alone. But Jesus promised God’s Spirit would never abandon us. Though unseen, the Spirit meets us in quiet moments, reminding us we’re not alone and helping us feel known. In this series, students will be reminded that when we feel forgotten, God’s Spirit comforts us; when we feel powerless, God’s Spirit gives us strength; when we feel lost, God’s Spirit guides us; and when we feel unimportant, God’s Spirit helps us make a difference.
