Christ is the ultimate Passover Lamb now The acts of God to set free the Israelite slaves were great indeed. The pharaohs had no limits on their power in northeastern Africa, but with ten mighty blows God broke their economic and military power. A far greater rescue took place on the Mount of Calvary. Just as the Israelites symbolically got rid of all the yeast in their homes, we can renew our lives in service to our God. Powered by his Spirit we now delight in throwing off old sinful ways and finding new joy in God’s ways. The last and greatest Passover took place on Good Friday and Easter. Through your faith in Christ the angel of death has passed over you. Calm down. You are safe.
