Kong Hee: God's Great Family

DAY 1 OF 5

You Were Made To Be Part Of God’s Family Have you ever been around a family that is so full of love that you find yourself wanting to be as close to that family as possible? There is something about a loving family that makes people long to be a part of it, and ache to experience such love. This is because you were made to be a part of an eternal family, the family of God. Ephesians 2:19 says that through Jesus Christ you are a “member of God’s household.” Imagine, the King of Creation desires for you to be a part of His family! It’s so important to realize that being a Christian is not merely a choice to be a part of a religion, or even to affirm some theological truth, but to be adopted into the family of God through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. As a son or daughter of God, you are a part of an eternal family that shares your same fears, weaknesses, and sins, but has found redemption through Christ. The family of God will experience the same struggles as natural families, but it is within the family of God that your gracious Father promises to change you into a new creation, one who is full of His goodness! Prayer for the day: Today, thank God for adopting you into His family. If you have never experienced what a loving family should be, pray that God will teach you what a true family looks and acts like. Finally, pray that you will be a loving brother or sister toward others in the family of God.
