Letting God Invade Every Part Of Your Life Matthew 22:37 reads, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.” Such utterly complete and wholehearted commitment to God is a foreign idea. Our world is compartmentalized and we often divide our lives into portions, neatly packaging them away in separate “containers.” Work, family, friends, politics… even our own thoughts… are often viewed as areas of life that are entirely unrelated to God. We might even ask ourselves if we have a God-labeled container tucked away in our cupboard. This is not the type of relationship that God calls us to experience through the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Consider how well you could love your spouse, your children and your friends if you allowed them full access to who you are. This same truth is true as well in your relationship with God who created you and loves you with his entire self. In Matthew, Christ calls you and me to love God wholeheartedly—with our entire heart, mind, and soul. But you can only love him this way if you throw away the “containers” and let God have Lordship over every single aspect of your life. Prayer for the day: Today, ask God to invade all of the corners of your life. Pray you will encounter God and bring Him glory while at work, while eating dinner, with your friends, or at the store. Anywhere and everywhere that you go today, ask that God will make Himself known and accomplish His perfect will!
