His Last Command: Our First Priority

DAY 10 OF 10

Day 10: God’s Plan for the Ages

Isaiah 42:4 NKJV
He will not fail nor be discouraged, till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands shall wait for His law.

God has a plan. It will not fail because God cannot fail.

Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV
Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.
Jeremiah 32:27 NKJV
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

When God says something is going to happen, it’s going to happen.

When God formulates a plan, that plan cannot possibly fail.

Job 42:2 NIV
I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.

So, what is His plan for the earth? What is His desire for the nations?

God’s heart and passion are for the earth to be redeemed and for justice and mercy to reign.

There are people today who will live their whole life on this planet and never know a single day of justice as they live under corrupt regimes of cruelty and ruthlessness.

Their cry to God is for justice and redemption. He has a plan. It will not fail.

His plan is that the news of His saving power be delivered to the whole earth.

Psalm 67:1-3 TLB
O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down at us. Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. How everyone throughout the earth will praise the Lord!

We have an amazing record in the book of Revelation of what is going to happen: prophecy written as history.

Revelation 7:9-10 NKJV
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

What a sight! This is the history of the future. A great multitude - not just a few representatives, from every tribe, tongue and nation will be singing salvation’s song.

Revelation 11:15 NKJV
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

According to the book of Revelation, God’s plan did not fail. The job got done. The Gospel was preached to every nation, tribe, tongue and people.

Somebody rose up and made Jesus’ last command their first priority.

Who was it? Is it possible that this is written about you?

Somewhere in the history of the future, a church rose up and committed its best people and finances to fulfilling the Great Commission, partnering with God in His plan for the ages.

According to the history of the future, the job got done. Some gave, some went, some prayed, some sent - but the job got done.

Invest your life by going.

Invest your money by giving.

Invest your time by praying and serving.

I have inside information on this “investment”. It’s a winner!

Matthew 19:29 NKJV
And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Prayer

Lord, I thank You that You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You reign and rule over all the earth. I thank You that You have a plan for mankind and that I am part of that plan. I look forward to the day when I join the multitude from every nation, tribe, and tongue on the earth, and together we sing salvation’s song. Amen!
