Spotting Spiritual Traps

DAY 4 OF 5

Accountability and Restoration

When Paul confronted Peter in Galatians 2:11, it was righteousness in action. Don't think it was a rebellion. Paul understood that love sometimes means correction. Some people in this digital age could have taken it as a public humiliation. But what he did was an act of love to address a salient issue openly for the sake of truth (Proverbs 27:5).

Accountability in the Church is not optional. Covering sin only delays healing. Proverbs 28:13 says, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

In the same passage, we see balance: Paul respected Peter’s apostleship but valued God’s truth above human titles. That is maturity: truth wrapped in love.

As believers, we must embrace correction, not resist it. Restoration is God’s heart, but it begins with exposure. Do not fear accountability; it refines and strengthens your witness.

Reflection Question

How do you usually respond to correction? What might God be teaching you about humility and accountability?

About this Plan

Spotting Spiritual Traps

In a world where opinions travel faster than truth, the body of Christ must return to its foundation—righteousness. This 5-day plan calls believers to love righteousness and hate iniquity, just as God does. It challenges us to measure every action and belief against Scripture, to reject compromise, and to live with spiritual integrity. This plan will help you rediscover the power of righteousness, the courage to confront error, and the wisdom to restore with grace. Whether you are a leader, disciple, or seeker of truth, you will be reminded that holiness is not outdated; it’s our divine identity.
