How can the gospel work through me?
Growing up, water hoses were so much fun when I wanted to get my brothers wet or when I wanted a drink (I don’t recommend that today). The hose itself did not satisfy my thirst or bring me joy, but the water that ran through it sure did.
Similarly, you and I are called to be conduits for Jesus. Acts 1:8 says, “…after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” I’m not called to be the gospel, but rather to allow the Holy Spirit to enable me with His power to share the gospel. How relieving it is to know that it’s God’s work, not mine!
