Why is God’s gift of salvation free?
Salvation is given by God’s grace; it is not earned through good deeds, church attendance, baptism, or personal merit. Once received by simply believing in Jesus Christ, this gift can never be taken away. No one and nothing can separate us from the promise of God, not even our own wrongdoing. We do right because we love the Lord, not because we are trying to keep our salvation.
Having received the undeserved gift and mercy of God, we should be moved to share what we have received with other people!
