God vs Goliath: The Battle Before the Battle Sample

Discern the difference between correction and condemnation.

When Eliab’s accusations couldn’t derail David, Goliath’s curses tried to. The enemy’s greatest weapon is deception—getting you to doubt your identity or your calling.

How do I know if a word of accusation is really projection—or a warning I should hear?

Consider the source:

1. Does God speak to me like this?
2. Is it found in scripture?
3. Does it resonate in my spirit?
4. Can it be confirmed by elders?
5. Is it fruitful?
6. Does it uplift and encourage even as it corrects?

Warnings from God are always for our benefit and we should heed them, but they are always delivered with humility, and caution as to not speak for God, but with God. Whereas accusation has a sharp edge, it is meant to cut and belittle, to bring down instead of build up. Accusation harms, whereas warning saves.
