Day 7 - You Cannot Be Hidden

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. – Matthew 5:14 NIV

Devotional

We've made a lot of declarations throughout this devotional. Let's repeat them:

• God wants to transform me back to me.
• I'm safe with God. I don't have to hide.
• God speaks to me. God's words to me are sacred.
• I belong to God. I believe what God has to say about my story not anyone else.
• God defines me. Only my Creator can tell me who I am.
• God changes what's in my heart first not my behavior.

You, my friend, are truly remarkable. The version of you that you're meant to be is hidden inside and the more you follow Jesus, the more you're transformed into the person God created and designed when you were first thought up. That's who you truly are.

In this life, we'll encounter painful moments that cause us to hide or worse, distort the way we see God and ourselves. We don't have to be afraid at all. Why? It's simple - God speaks to you and to me, and the words that God speaks are Truth.

Say that: The words that God speaks are Truth.

May the Lord continue to awaken you to who you truly are and may you light a fire in those around you to be awakened as God does the same thing in them. This transformation cannot be hidden, eventually it will begin to light up those around you. Let it!
