Learning You: The Love That StaysSample

In Learning You, there’s a raw moment when Ty rips the cross from around his neck and says, “God, You’re fired.” He’s exhausted. He’s prayed. He’s done everything “right,” and still nothing makes sense. If you’ve ever walked through loss, silence, or disappointment, you know that feeling.
When life unravels, it’s easy to wonder, Maybe God isn’t who I thought He was. But Scripture reminds us: God doesn’t break promises. We just don’t always understand His timing. Abraham waited decades for a child. Joseph spent years in prison before seeing his dream fulfilled. Even Jesus endured silence in Gethsemane before resurrection morning.
Waiting doesn’t mean God lied—it means His plan is larger than your moment. Faith isn’t pretending everything’s fine; it’s trusting that God’s still writing, even when the page looks blank.
What looks like a broken promise might actually be a divine rewrite. The cross itself looked like God’s failure. But three days later, the world learned that He had been faithful all along. God doesn’t discard stories—He redeems them.
Reflect:
Where do you feel disappointed with God right now?
Can you invite Him into that honest space?
Prayer:
God, I admit I’ve doubted You.
But today I choose to believe You’re faithful, even when I can’t see how.
Rewrite my disappointment into trust, and remind me that every promise You make, You keep.
Amen.
