Good News For All People

When the angels announced Jesus’ birth, they didn’t go to kings or priests. They appeared to shepherds - ordinary, overlooked people.

Their message was: Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord (Luke 2:10–11).

Christmas isn’t for a select few. It isn’t just for the rich, the powerful, or the religious. Jesus came for everyone - young and old, rich and poor, educated and uneducated. He came for you.

Paul writes, When the set time had fully come, God sent His Son…to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship (Galatians 4:4–5). The gift of Christmas is universal, yet deeply personal. It reaches around the world, yet it also reaches straight into your heart. God’s love isn’t distant or general - it’s personal.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” But if you were the only one who needed saving, He still would have come just for you. That’s how personal His love is. And it's personal to every one of His children.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Heaven gave its very best. The Creator became like His creation so He could redeem it. The baby in the manger was more than a symbol of peace; He was peace itself - God’s plan of salvation wrapped in flesh. The Word became flesh so that the Word could one day live in you.

That’s why Christmas isn’t just something we celebrate once a year. It’s a reminder that the same power that brought Jesus into the world now lives inside every believer. Emmanuel - God with us - became God in us.

The Savior born in Bethlehem came for all - that includes you, and every person on the planet.
