GOD’S FAITHFULNESS ACROSS GENERATIONS


Did you know that God always keeps His promises? He not only keeps the promises made to us, but also those He made to the generations before us. His faithfulness spans generations, and what He has begun, He will continue through families and communities.

In Genesis 26, God made a promise to Isaac that He would be with him, bless him and his descendants, and bless the land where he lived. This was not a new promise; it was the same covenant He had made with Isaac’s father, Abraham.

Isaac demonstrated his priorities and obedience to God in verse 25. Before he decided to settle down, he first built an altar and called on the name of the Lord. As a result, the well that his servants dug became a source of blessing, not only for Isaac but also for the surrounding community.

From Isaac’s story, we learn that God is faithful, and His promises never fail. Wherever Isaac went, God’s blessing followed him. As believers, we are called to do the same — to place God above all else, obey Him, and trust that His promises to the generations before us still stand today. When we live this way, we become part of the fulfillment of God’s covenant — bringing life, hope, and blessing to our families, communities, and nations, just as Isaac did.

● Pray that the next generation will become courageous heirs of faith, living righteously, and digging new “spiritual wells” that bring blessings to the nation.
