Imagine being in an escape room with your friends. The clock is ticking and everyone’s panicking, turning knobs and pushing buttons, but you’ve already spotted the clue that will open the door. Do you just watch? No, you’ll shout it out, because you have the answer to find the way out!

In the same way, God has given every believer access to the answer the world needs - the One who can meet every emotional, physical, and spiritual need. God has also given to us the message of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19). Since we have this message that saves, heals and restores others, we must tell everyone about Jesus.

Jesus emphasised this new priority and direction for Simon: “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people” (Luke 5:10).

Recently, I was doing street evangelism when I came across a lady sitting at a void deck by herself. I felt I needed to approach this lady and share God’s love with her. Though she appeared as if she did not want to be disturbed, I mustered the courage to start a conversation with her. When I eventually shared about Jesus’ love for her, she started tearing up. She shared that she was from Indonesia, had been living in Singapore alone in the last few years and had been experiencing loneliness. I was thankful that I could pray for her and have continued to keep in touch since then.

This is our call - we have been commissioned to reach the harvest and we cannot stay silent. We have the Good News that will save and transform lives, so go into our neighbourhoods and all the world and make disciples!
