Waiting for (Christ)mas

DAY 10 OF 10

Merry Christmas!

We wish you a very, very Merry Christmas!!

We have come to the end of the year, the last big festival before we celebrate the New Year. But Christmas is anything but an end; it actually signifies a beginning.

Jesus’ arrival was anticipated for thousands of years, and His birth was marked by supernatural signs: a new star appeared in the sky (Matthew 2:1-10) and angelic announcements of His birth (Luke 2:8-14).

It was the beginning of something extraordinary and unprecedented: the incarnation – Immanuel, God with us in the flesh (Galatians 4:4-5)!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6 NIV

God chose to be born in a stable, with animals and shepherds as his first visitors. In this lies the power of the Incarnation; the humblest things are most exalted. No other religion serves a God who humbled Himself to the extent of becoming human.

Our God did it! Why?

To save us, to allow us to draw closer to Him and to give us eternal life.

We were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life – Romans 5:10 NIV

The word Christmas means a celebration of remembering and thanksgiving (= mas) of what Jesus (= Christ) has done for us.

Today, on Christmas Day, take a moment to truly celebrate Christ. Remember and be grateful that Jesus Christ humbled Himself and came to earth for you!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar!
