The Weight You Weren’t Meant to Carry

I carried other people’s anger, temperaments and struggles like luggage I didn’t pack. If someone was angry, I felt responsible. If tension filled a room, I tried to fix it. I thought that was love, but it was actually fear.

Jesus never asked us to be anyone’s savior. He said,

“Come to Me.”

When we carry the weight of everyone else’s chaos, we end up crushed.

Maybe you’re tired because you’ve been holding what was never yours to hold, someone’s approval, someone’s addiction, someone’s silence. It’s time to set it down.

Imagine writing every burden on a small piece of paper. One by one, hand them to Jesus. Whisper,

“I cast this on You.”

Then walk away lighter.

Because peace begins the moment you stop carrying what was never yours.
