Following Jesus at ChristmasSample

When Jesus came to earth and ultimately went to the cross, His death wasn’t only to purchase eternal salvation for all of us, but it was to restore His original desire and heart for humanity—that we would all experience and encounter heaven on earth. Jesus is about redeeming, restoring, and establishing the kingdom of heaven. Notice here that His punishment means our peace. His pain means our freedom. Do you need healing? Do you need freedom from any oppression? His blood spilled on the cross covers all of that. You can confidently go to God and pray for these areas that His crushing provides. Too many believers don’t trust God to receive or take possession of all that Jesus purchased, but this season, take inventory of God’s promises and begin to step into them!
Reflection
- What did Jesus pay for that you’re not walking in?
- What do you need to claim the blood for in your life?
Set your mind on the cross and what He came to bring you!

About this Plan

Over the next twenty-five days, let’s celebrate the entrance of Jesus and the salvation He purchased. Like Mary did so many years ago, let’s make room for Jesus in our lives by making daily space and time for His Word. We encourage you to read the verse each day and reflect on Jesus’ character and nature. You’ll find that the more you study the Word of God, the more your life will begin to look like Jesus! This devotional will reflect on the humble and triumphant entrance of our Prince of Peace, Savior, Lord, and King.
