Worshiping With GratitudeSample

Introduction
Worshiping with gratitude is more than saying “Thank You” to God; it is a posture of the heart that acknowledges His goodness in every season. Gratitude changes how we see, how we speak, and how we worship. It realigns our hearts with God’s presence and reminds us that He alone is worthy.
Throughout Scripture, worship and gratitude are inseparable. Gratitude opens the gates of His presence (Psalm 100:4), sustains us in hardship (1 Thessalonians 5:18), and becomes the rhythm of a surrendered life (Romans 12:1).
Over the next five days, allow this devotional to help you rediscover worship as a grateful response to God’s character. Each reflection invites you to remember, rejoice, and respond in worship through gratitude.
Remembering God’s Faithfulness
Have you ever noticed how quickly we remember what went wrong but forget what went right? Our minds easily hold onto disappointments, yet God’s daily mercies often fade into the background. David commands his soul, “Praise the Lord… and forget not all his benefits.” Gratitude begins when we obey this call to remember.
Forgetfulness is one of worship’s greatest barriers. Israel forgot the God who split the sea and sent manna (Exodus 16–17). We often do the same. But when we pause to remember, gratitude awakens, and that gratitude becomes worship.
Think about the prayers God has answered, the strength He has given, the peace He has provided. Remembering leads to gratitude, and gratitude leads to worship. Worship begins not with what we hope God will do next, but with recalling what He has already done.
SELAH

PRAYER
Lord, thank You for all You have done. Teach me to remember Your goodness. Let remembrance awaken gratitude in me, and may my gratitude awaken worship. Amen.
