The Table and the Forever Home (Psalm 23:5–6)

Imagine this: you’re surrounded by enemies, yet God sets a table and serves you a feast. That’s the picture. God doesn’t hide provision until the threats vanish; He provides in the middle of the struggle.

He honors us with oil and overflowing joy, reminding us that fear cannot cancel grace. And then David closes with a breathtaking promise that the Lord’s goodness and mercy follow you and that there’s a place for you in the house of the Lord for eternity.

Goodness and mercy are like two companions chasing us with grace, every single day until eternity. The Shepherd’s goal is not just survival but permanent dwelling in His house.

No matter the headlines, the losses, or the fears, your Shepherd is leading you home.
