Hebrews -- Holding on to JesusSample

Day of Reflection
Hebrews is a book all about Jesus, the ultimate revelation of God, greater than anyone or anything that came before. The elevation of Jesus begins right away in the opening sentence of the introduction and continues throughout the entire book. It calls discouraged believers to fix their eyes on Him, endure suffering, and continue the journey of faith.
Seven days into the devotion, it's time to pause and reflect on what God has imparted to you. What are some areas you have identified that have interfered with your sight line to Jesus, and what are some practical ways you are being encouraged to keep your eyes on Him? In a journal or even in a note on your phone, take a few minutes to capture these things. Then, go to God in prayer for each item, inviting Him to provide the strength, peace, and joy today and every day forward.

About this Plan

The book of Hebrews is unlike any other in Scripture. Quoting or alluding to the Old Testament over eighty times, it bridges God’s promises of old with His ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Written to believers tempted to turn back under pressure, this 21-day devotional encourages us to see Christ clearly and hold firmly to Him when life gets difficult.
