Confidence in Christ Alone

If you’ve ever felt like you started strong but lost your spark along the way, believe me, you are not alone! Peter was a good example of this! One minute he is walking on water and the next he was sinking because he allowed doubt to creep in. Then, on another occasion, he denied Jesus three times, convinced he most likely messed up. But Jesus didn’t see failure in him, He saw a foundation. When He found Peter again, He didn’t remind him of his mistakes; He reaffirmed his mission!

Sometimes we forget that God is not surprised by our setbacks! He knew every stumble before He called us, and He still said, “Follow Me.” Confidence doesn’t come from having a flawless record, it comes from knowing a faithful God! The same God who started the work in you is committed to finishing it, even when you feel unfinished! Trust in The One who truly knows YOU!
