DAY 8 – MEEKNESS (GENTLENESS)

Moment of Praise Worship

Read the Word:

• Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
• Matthew 5:5 (KJV) – Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
• James 1:21 (NIV) – Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

Meekness is Spirit-empowered strength under control. It is not weakness but power that chooses humility, gentleness, and submission to God’s will. Meekness allows us to yield our rights, trust God’s justice, and walk in peace without striving.

A meek spirit does not blame God for trials but embraces His sovereignty as good. The Holy Spirit produces in us a heart that is soft before God yet firm in faith. Meekness teaches us to be teachable, to respond in humility rather than arrogance, and to accept God’s Word with reverence.

In relationships, meekness transforms conflict. Instead of responding with harshness, we answer with gentleness. Instead of pride, we walk in humility. The meek inherit the earth because their strength comes not from self but from the Spirit, making them unshakable in Christ.

CONFESSION

I confess that I walk in meekness, submitting to the will of God and responding with gentleness. I am strong in the Spirit and humble in heart, reflecting the meekness of Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS

Holy Spirit, clothe me with meekness. Deliver me from pride, anger, and self-righteousness. Teach me to walk in humility before You and to respond in gentleness toward others. May my meekness reflect the Spirit of Christ, and may my life inherit the blessings You have prepared. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
