Faithfulness

Faithfulness is a steady trust,
the quiet courage to keep a promise
when every reason to turn back
stands in the way.

It does not shift with mood or season.
It holds the long path,
relying on God’s word
more than passing desire.

Faithfulness is love that keeps its vow,
the heart that stays when storms arrive,
the hand that will not let go.

It is the Spirit’s deep work,
teaching us to say with Jesus,
“not my will, but yours be done,”
and to live that prayer with our lives.
