STUCK: Purpose

Have you ever wondered what your purpose is? Maybe you're in a season where it seems like your purpose is changing. You may even feel stuck that you picked the wrong direction for your purpose.

It's never too late to get unstuck!

Did you know the Lord thinks beautiful thoughts about you? Ephesians 2:10 in The Passion Translation says it beautifully: We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!

Did you catch that? We WILL fulfill the destiny he has given each of us. If we are walking with Jesus, we can walk in purpose.

If you have made mistakes, if you wish you had zigged instead of zagged, take heart, friends! We have our plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21).

Even if you don't know which direction to go, you took a wrong turn somewhere, or made some mistakes, God already factored all of that into the equation of our purpose. That's so comforting!

The best thing you can do if you don't know your purpose or if you feel stuck on your way to your purpose is to pray. The Lord has the blueprints; ask him for the next steps. He may not show you the whole picture. You may have to take step after step of faith. But you will be blessed when you start spending time with the Creator, asking him to show you how to walk out your purpose.

Trust me, he has more invested in you and your purpose than even you do!

Prayer for Purpose: Father God, thank you for thinking beautiful thoughts about me! Would you order my steps? Please show me the next right thing to do to walk in the unique purpose you created just for me. I know you have the right purpose in mind for me, and I trust you to show me each step I need to take as I continue to press into your Presence. Thank you for creating me for your purpose! In Jesus' name, amen.
