We love talking about things we're passionate about: your favourite sports team, that hobby you've just taken up, your kid's new skill. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." (Matthew 12:34, ESV) It's a natural human trait. And so we're all evangelists for the things our hearts love.

What if God had designed you that way? What if our natural desire to share good news was actually a wiring implanted in us to make the good news of Jesus multiply around our world?

In the Great Commission, Jesus is calling for the natural response to what the disciples have just witnessed. They've walked with Jesus as He's healed, taught, and performed many miracles. They've seen the clear evidence that this is the Messiah— God in the flesh. They watched Him get brutally crucified. They now walk with Him once again, risen, alive, and well. Jesus has proven He is who He said He is. He has all authority in heaven and on earth.

The natural response to all this is to do exactly what Jesus tells them: go and make disciples. Tell others. Tell everyone. Your neighbours. Your colleagues. Your family and friends. This news needs to go viral. The world needs to know.

Just as He called the disciples then, so He still calls us to this mission now. Your world needs to know.
