Do you ever wonder if your life really makes a difference? Does anything in you truly reflect Jesus in a way that draws others to know Him?

Jesus calls us to shine with His light in the world around us. This is not a burden to try and be perfect, but a calling to reflect Him, His love, truth and holiness in a world filled with darkness. His light lives within you through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Through Him, your words, actions and presence can shine brightly for others to see.

Light does not compete with darkness; it conquers it. Just like switching on a light in a dark room changes everything, your life is meant to reveal Jesus not only by what you say, but by how you live each day.

SO HOW DO YOU PRACTICALLY SHINE?

• People may argue with your beliefs but showing them God’s love silences all.
• Speaking truth in love can break through the confusion in people’s minds.
• Being trustworthy reveals God's character.
• Pursuing purity allows His holiness to be seen in you.
• Your testimony can lead others to freedom.
• Intimacy with Jesus will cause your light to shine brighter.

The closer you walk with Jesus, the brighter His light will shine through you. Being a light means choosing kindness when others mock you, standing for truth when others are confused and walking in purity when others do not.

And when someone finally asks, "Why are you so different?" that's your moment to point them to Jesus.

PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for calling me to be a light. Help me reflect Your love, truth and holiness wherever I go. When it's hard to stand alone, remind me that You are with me. Use my life to bring glory to Your name and draw others to You.
