Day 7: Cast in the Fire: Hard Pressed but Not Crushed

After leaving the hospital, I felt like I was still in the middle of being tested. This was disheartening because I thought once I came home from the hospital, I would rest for two weeks and be instantly better. I imagined that a few short weeks later, I would have regained all my strength. However, that was not the case; it took much longer than I had anticipated. Perhaps you, too, are experiencing similar feelings with your own challenges and may even feel overwhelmed.

It was during these times that I found peace in God’s Word while grappling with the combination of physical discomfort and emotional challenges that weighed me down. As it says in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, know that you are not defeated.

Even if you are struggling to survive, hold on to the fact that you are still alive. God’s plan is much bigger than yours.
