A Fire Inside: 30 Day Devotional JourneySample

Day 17: Living Sacrifices
When we embrace the depth of God’s love for ourselves, it transforms our hearts. As our hearts change, our actions follow. Doing so allows us to walk out Romans 12:1, which says that we are called to be “living sacrifices.”
What does that mean? Being a living sacrifice means embracing what God’s Word says about us and understanding His desires for our lives. It means writing a letter to others as they see our lives.
To achieve this, we must deepen our relationship with God and study His Word, which will help us resist conforming to the traditional norms of this world. The more we know His Word, the more we can discern what thinking does not align with His will and walk with Him.
Moment of Reflection:
As you read Romans 12:1, where is God calling you to be a living sacrifice? What does that look like for you?
