Freed from Lies

After a long day at work, there’s nothing more refreshing than a nice hot bath. The water melts away tension, refreshes you, and washes off the sweat and fatigue. No one would ever choose to wash themselves with milk or wine. Only water has the power to cleanse, restore, and make us feel new.

In the spiritual realm, God’s Word is our living water. Jesus Himself prayed to the Father, saying: “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”

We live in a world full of lies, lies about identity, about love, about right and wrong. These lies cling to our minds and hearts like filth that weighs us down.

But the Word of God purifies us, sanctifies us, brings us back to the truth. Just as water cleans the body, the Word cleanses the soul from every lie. It doesn’t just wash us, it nourishes us, gives us life, and leads us through chaos. Only truth can truly set us free.

Prayer: Lord, wash me with Your Word. Free me from the lies I’ve believed and fill my life with Your truth.
