Christmas is redemption
'Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.' (Psalm 130:7-8, NIV)
The birth of the Christ Child is all about redemption, salvation, and restoration. Today’s scripture is addressed to Israel, which was a term for the people of God. Make these verses personal by replacing 'Israel' with your name. The coming of Jesus shows the lengths to which the Almighty was willing to go to redeem and restore all humankind to a relationship with him.
Christmas is the gift of unfailing love and full redemption wrapped in swaddling cloths!

Prayer: Today, Lord, I celebrate my redeemed relationship with you through Jesus Christ. Amen.
