Word IMPACT!Sample

Day 13
THE WORD BECAME FLESH
Jesus is the package that God chose to reveal Himself to mankind. What God wanted to reveal about Himself, He revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. “He is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.” (Heb 1:3 NASB)
He is the Word that was in the beginning. The Word that was with God. The Word that was God. (John 1:1) Jesus is the living expression of God made visible for us. He is the visible image of the invisible God. (Col 1:15 NLT)
Philip asked Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Then Jesus answered Him, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father!” (John 14:8,9) To see Jesus is to see the Father in all His fullness. In the words of John 1:14, “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son. Full of grace and truth.”
Jesus emptied Himself of His Godly privileges and became a mere human being. “He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form, 8 He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.” (Phil 2:6-8 NLT) Jesus said of Himself, “I am gentle and humble in heart…” (Mat 11:29 NASB)
Jesus said that He could do nothing without the Father.
* “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” (John 5:19 NLT)
* “I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” (John 5:30 NKJV)
* “I do nothing on My own but say only what the Father taught Me.“ (John 8:28 NKJV)
* “I don’t speak on My own authority. The Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.” (John 12:49 NLT)
Jesus, the Messiah, was filled with the Holy Spirit and ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit. “And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Act 10:38 NLT)
His words were fresh and cut to the core of human lives. “They were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.” (Luke 4:32 NKJV) Every principle Jesus taught was one He lived out and applied in His own life - and it came at a cost. “Even though Jesus was God’s Son, He learned obedience from the things He suffered.” (Heb 5:8 NLT)
Father, thank You that Jesus came to show us how a son of God lives. Humble, filled with the Spirit, and obedient!
About this Plan

In the beginning, His word impact resulted in light. The whole creation came about by His word. A widow and her son were saved from death when she put her faith in the word Elijah spoke. She discovered that the little she had was always enough when she put God first. It changed her life completely. When we allow His word to do a deep work within us, we will be fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives us. May “Word Impact!” shape you to think and act like Jesus as you follow Him every day!
