God Is in Control

DAY 12 OF 30

Day 12: Living from the Confidence We Already Have

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." - Psalm 9:10 (NIV)

The goal is not to achieve perfect confidence, but to live from the confidence we already have in God's character. Many Christians wear themselves out trying to “manufacture” more faith, when in fact they should simply act on the faith they already have.

David did not write Psalm 9:10 as an insecure or beginner. He spoke from a mature confidence, solid enough to encourage others. This shows how trust in God's character evolves: from a personal faith to a faith that sustains and strengthens those around us, as it was with David, whose trust in God inspires us to this day.

Trust, then, does not depend on feelings, but on foundation. You don't need to feel confident to act with confidence. Security comes not from circumstances, but from who God is: unchanging, faithful, and good.

Instead of repeatedly questioning whether God is trustworthy, you can move forward with the assumption that He is. This is not arrogance, but trust grounded in His character. There is a big difference.

Perhaps you are facing financial challenges. You can choose between weeks of anxiety, doubting whether God will provide, or you can choose to trust Him, act wisely, and proceed with peace, remembering how many times you have experienced His provision.

Living this way not only transforms our journey but also makes us beacons for others. Our established trust inspires and encourages those who are still learning to trust. Like David, we can affirm: "Those who know Your name put their trust in You."

And the cycle continues: as our lives demonstrate God's faithfulness, the faith of others is strengthened.

My Prayer:

Father, I want to stop trying to build more trust and learn to live by the trust You have already given me. May my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness and an encouragement to others. You are trustworthy, always. Help me to live in a way that makes this evident to everyone around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions to Reflect:

1. Have you been trying to build more trust or learning to live by the trust you already have in God?

2. How can your trust in God's character inspire and encourage others?

About this Plan

God Is in Control

What does it mean to trust God with all your heart? This coming month, you are invited to live this unshakable truth: God is in control and worthy of your complete trust. From creation to the cross, from daily needs to life's trials, you will learn to rest in His sovereignty, trust in His grace, and walk in His provision. Each day will call you to exchange fear for faith, self-reliance for surrender, and doubt for trust in God's character.
