Isn’t it weird that in today’s world of social media and perfect lives, when you actually get to know someone, they can seem so closed off? Sometimes I wonder how the Lord feels when you praise Him on Sunday and make sure to post your church 'fit, but inside the reality is He doesn’t have access to a quarter of your heart, let alone the whole thing. Psalm 24:7 says, “Lift up your heads, you gates… that the King of glory may come in. ” We are called on by the Lord to open and prepare our hearts for His return. The people of God aren’t meant to be passive and closed off; we’re meant to prepare the way for the coming of the Lord (Isaiah 40:3). You might be wondering to yourself how you would do this? Well, it starts with this, opening up your whole heart to the Lord. Inviting Jesus into every part of your life…not just Sunday morning.

When Revelation 1:7 says, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him,” this isn't just hyperbole; this is a foreshadowing of what awaits every believer in Christ: Jesus’ triumphant return and eternity with Him. I leave you with this… tear down those walls, give Jesus the key to your heart. Don’t just give Him 75 or 90 percent; give Him the entire thing. Prepare yourself for His glorious return, because when we give Him everything, we walk in the fullness of who He made us to be.

Reflection Question: If your heart were a home and you asked the Lord if He’d seen every room, what would he say? If you haven’t given Jesus access to your full self, what’s holding you back?

Prayer: Jesus, I declare right in this moment, make my heart your HOME. Not just half of my heart or even 99 percent. Make my whole heart Your home, walk through every room; I surrender my full self. Prepare me for Your valiant return and help me witness to those who might not be so ready. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
