Leadership Lessons From John the BaptistSample

Lesson 5. Leaders are people with principles
John the Baptist was preaching uncompromisingly. He exposed evil and confronted it. He paid a high price for his basic principle, but did not agree on a compromise and did not compromise his conscience. Whenever he got into a dialog with religious leaders, he would openly rebuke, when the king had done something wrong, he was the prophetic voice of reproach for the king. Leading a life of uncompromising attitude and the absence of scandal against him, let John publicly proclaim the truth boldly and openly.
Today, more than ever, we need to be people that possess a high level of consciousness, deep convictions and boldly confront evil. The modern church needs leaders that are real yet have a flawless reputation and will be moral authorities for society. Make a decision to live your life is such a way to make the “future you” respect “the present you”. Let you never in the future be ashamed of the decisions made today. And if your kids are still little, when they grow up and hear that their father or mother once made such a decision, let them highly assess your decisions. Be a person with principles and high ideals. Never betray them.
