Spare the Rod, Reclaim the ChildSample

Disorder in the Home
Disorder doesn’t start with your child’s attitude. It starts with what you allow.
When peace is missing in the home, rebellion fills the gap. And where there is no order, there will always be confusion, resistance, and emotional chaos. That’s not just behavioral t’s spiritual.
Too often, we let disobedience slide because we’re tired. We justify disrespect because it feels easier than conflict. But silence doesn’t bring peace. It breeds rebellion.
God is a God of order. From creation to the cross, everything He does flows from structure, alignment, and authority. If your home is out of order, it is your responsibility not your child’s to bring it back under Heaven’s design.
1 Corinthians 14:33 says, “For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”
You can’t have peace and let chaos live in the same space.
You can’t declare authority and then shrink back in fear.
You must reclaim your role, reestablish your voice, and reset your house in truth.
This is not about shame. This is about spiritual alignment.
And alignment always starts with the parent.
Reflection:
Where have I allowed chaos to go unchecked in my home? What boundaries have I been afraid to enforce?
Prayer Activation:
Father, I repent for allowing disorder to take root. I renounce every spirit of rebellion, confusion, and dishonor that has entered my home. Help me lead with clarity and consistency. Let Your peace rule this house again. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

Parenting without spiritual authority leads to chaos. In this 7-day devotional, Ashley Lunnon author of Spare the Rod, Reclaim the Child, calls Kingdom parents back to biblical discipline, honor, and truth. If rebellion is rising in your home, it’s time to reset. God’s way still works.
