Navigating Teen Life With Biblical WisdomSample

What Does the Bible Say About Dating?
Key Scripture: “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.” (2 Corinthians 6:14)
Dating isn’t in the Bible—but relationships are. God created us for connection, but He honors covenant relationships, not casual commitment. Until marriage, we’re called to treat others as brothers and sisters in Christ, guarding purity and respecting boundaries. Dating should never be about filling loneliness or chasing status. Instead, it’s about seeking God first, and letting Him shape our relationships.
Live It Challenge: Ask God to shape your desires and help you honor Him in your dating—or singleness. Share one verse that reminds you to put Him first in every relationship.
Reflection Questions:
- What are some misconceptions you’ve had about dating in the past?
- Are you using your singleness to draw closer to God or are you rushing to the next season?
- Where do you need to surrender your dating life (or singleness) to the Lord today?
Additional Scripture:
- Genesis 2:18- 24
- Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
- Song of Solomon 8:4
- 2 Timothy 2:22
- 1 Corinthians 10:31
- Proverbs 15:22
- 2 Corinthians 6:14
