GENESIS 45
Joseph stops interpreting dreams and starts interpreting his own life story. With God’s grace, he realizes that the pain and injustice he suffered weren’t just the result of his brothers’ actions but part of God’s plan. Knowing this truth helped him not to condemn them; on the contrary, he forgave and comforted them.
Joseph had the same forgiving heart as the Lord Jesus, who looked at those mocking Him and said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). Both Joseph and Jesus understood that the purpose of their lives wasn’t limited to their suffering but to the redemption and salvation it would bring. Knowing that God’s plans are greater and better allowed forgiveness to rise above all pain and bitterness.
LET'S PRAY:
In John 15, Jesus invites us to remain in him and love as he loves us, because through this love, we will bear much fruit and the Father's name will be glorified. We need the Holy Spirit to help and teach us to walk in this way. We know that during our lives, we can sow many seeds and, with God's grace, we will bear much fruit. So pray that the Lord will teach you to love with the love of Jesus and ask for His heart and eyes for each person who is placed in your path.
