A Disciple's JourneySample

Review Questions for Week 4
- How have you been growing in Christ this week? What have you been learning?
- As you have read through the early chapters of Acts, what role do you see the Holy Spirit playing in Peter’s life and ministry?
- Is there an area of your life where you tend to rely on yourself? How could you begin to rely on the Holy Spirit instead?
- To the best of your ability, did you maintain the habits of a healthy Christian this week? If not, what is a meaningful step you can take next week toward acquiring each habit?
The disciplines we’ve been working on during this five-week study are spiritual disciplines. They’re spiritual habits. Yes, they’re things we do. But more than that, they open up a space where God does something in us. When we commune with Him each day, when we pray, when we read His Word, when we memorize Scripture, when we gather together as the church—God shows up. He makes His presence clear. He speaks. He guides us. He changes us. If our lives are going to amount to anything lasting, if our church is going to accomplish anything lasting, it will only and ever be because the Holy Spirit is working in us and through us!
Pray actively and rely on the Holy Spirit for every good work God gives you to do each day. His power never runs out, and nothing can stop Him!

About this Plan

Before going on a difficult journey, you need to have a plan. You also need to find people headed to the same destination, so you can encourage each other, train together, and prepare for what lies ahead. That is what A Disciple’s Journey is designed to provide. Each week, you will follow along with the apostle Peter in his journey of discipleship. With each step of his journey, we can find resonances with our own and wisdom for how to navigate the Christian life.
