Kingdom Story Company Month of the Bible Reading PlanSample

What do you do when you’ve prayed for a miracle, and it doesn’t come? Jeremy and Melissa experience the joy of her healing, only to face the heartbreak of her cancer returning. This time, it’s terminal. Jeremy is crushed—he prayed, believed, and trusted God, but the answer was no.
Many of us know that pain—longing for healing, reconciliation, or breakthrough, only to face loss instead. The Bible never promises that God will always answer in the way we want, but it does promise that He is with us, and that His ways are higher than ours. Hope in suffering doesn’t mean ignoring the pain; it means holding onto God’s love even when we don’t understand His plan.
Like Jeremy, we may wrestle with God in our grief. But even in the “no,” hope remains, because God has not abandoned us.
