When You Wonder WhySample

Call to Justice
All of humanity is made in God’s image. This means everyone should be treated with the same dignity and respect. But our world is full of sin and injustice. As Christians, we are called to care about injustice. We show love, respect and care for those our society forgets because God has not forgotten them. You may ask:
“How can I partner with what God is doing in the world around me?”
“What can I do to help make the world right again?”
Sin has brought violence, hatred and inequality into the world, creating injustice, but God calls us to live justly.
Psalm 33:5
“The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.”
Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Justice means to make something wrong, right again. At its core, justice reflects God’s own character. He is perfectly just, and he alone has the authority to determine what true justice is. Because of his holiness, God hates injustice in every form, and he has given us his Word so that we can recognize the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Justice is not just an abstract idea; it is part of God’s ongoing work in the world. Even now, he is making his creation right again, and one day his justice will be fully and finally realized.
