Day 3: Barriers – Lies and Struggles that Keep Us from Living as Sons

Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 8:14–16, James 1:17

The enemy fears us walking in our true identity. He knows the impact of a child of God living free, so he uses lies, shame, fear, and guilt to keep us bound. But the Word reminds us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

We are not orphans. We are not forsaken. The price has been paid, and Christ has disarmed the enemy’s power. Nothing can separate us from the love of God—not our failures, not our past, not our weaknesses.

When shame whispers that we are unworthy, God answers: “You are My beloved child.” When fear threatens, His Spirit reminds us: “I am with you always.” The truth is this—He loved us first, He chose us, and His Spirit within us seals our identity.

What barriers—fear, guilt, shame, or lies—have been keeping you from fully embracing your identity in Christ?

Prayer:
Father, thank You that I am never alone or forsaken. Help me silence the lies of the enemy and walk in Your truth. Break every chain of fear, shame, and guilt in my life. Give me courage to live free as Your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
