God Still SpeaksSample

When Truth Finds a Voice
Huldah’s story is short, but unforgettable. She’s only mentioned in one scene in Scripture, yet her words carried the weight of revival.
When King Josiah discovered the lost Book of the Law, he didn’t send for a priest or one of the male prophets of Israel with a public ministry. He sent his advisors to a woman named Huldah. And when Huldah was called upon to verify the authenticity of the book of the law, she didn’t hesitate. She spoke a hard truth with clarity and conviction, confirming God’s coming judgment but also affirming the king’s humility.
It all happened in a private setting. There was no stage or spotlight. Instead, there was just a faithful woman who knew God’s voice and wasn’t afraid to speak it out.
Huldah reminds us that the size of your platform doesn’t determine the strength of your influence. You don’t need to be well-known to be well-used by God. Sometimes the most impactful words are the ones spoken behind the scenes—in a quiet room, a personal conversation, or a moment when someone needs clarity from the Lord.
Truth-telling isn’t about volume or numbers. Instead, it’s about obedience. God entrusted Huldah with a message, and she delivered it faithfully. She didn’t water it down because it was difficult for others to hear. She also didn’t hold it in because of how others might receive it. She didn’t make it about herself or her own emotions. She simply said what God told her to say, and the history of Israel shifted because of it.
You might not feel like your voice matters. Maybe you’ve been overlooked, dismissed, or silenced. But God still speaks through those who are willing to listen to Him. And when you stay close to Him: through Scripture, prayer, and worship, you’ll begin to hear His heart for His people more clearly.
Then, when the moment comes to speak out what He is saying, you’ll be ready.
Today, let Huldah’s story encourage you to stay faithful, even when no one’s watching. Don’t be afraid to speak the truth, even if it’s hard. Let your words be rooted in love, saturated in prayer, and aligned with God’s heart.
When truth finds a voice, God moves.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to be someone You can trust with truth. Help me to listen before I speak, and to stay in tune with Your voice. Give me the courage to say what needs to be said—even when it’s hard—and the wisdom to know when to speak and when to stay quiet. Use my voice for Your glory, and remind me that even my quiet faithfulness matters in Your kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
