35 Day Prayer PlanSample

Petition
This week, we will be asking for the things we desire in our lives. This is called a petition, and it reminds us that God welcomes our requests, both big and small. Intercession is for others; petitioning is for us. When we bring our needs to Him, we acknowledge our dependence and trust in His provision. Petition deepens our faith as we see God’s hand move in response to our prayers.
Day 15 – Petition for Wisdom
Wisdom is more than knowledge; it is the ability to make decisions that align with God’s heart. Every day, we face significant and ordinary choices, and often feel uncertain or overwhelmed. James reminds us that God generously grants wisdom to those who ask. Asking for wisdom acknowledges that we cannot navigate life solely by our understanding.
Petitioning for wisdom also requires humility. It means admitting that our perspective is limited and our reasoning may not lead to the best outcomes. When we pray for wisdom, we invite God to influence our thoughts, words, and actions. We seek discernment in relationships, work, family responsibilities, and personal growth.
God’s wisdom does not merely solve problems; it transforms our hearts. It helps us respond with patience instead of anger, compassion instead of judgment, and courage instead of fear. True wisdom shapes our character to reflect God’s heart in every situation.
Thankfully, God gives wisdom generously to anyone who asks for it. This wisdom is always available to you. Wisdom is not just knowing what to do, but when to do it; it is knowing what to say and when to say it. The Lord has promised that He will order your steps (Psalm 37:23) and give you the words you need (Luke 21:14-15). These are just some of the ways that God will provide His wisdom.
Today, bring your decisions, doubts, and uncertainties to God. Ask Him to provide the wisdom you need for every challenge, and trust that He will guide your steps, giving insight and clarity that only He can provide. Let this prayer of petition shape your choices and your heart.
