Day 5 - Love One Another

Jesus, speaking to his disciples once said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

The pool world has more believers in it than many people think. I’ve met many, many Christ followers who love the game of pool. I’ve also seen believers in the pool world tear each other down, speak ill of one another, and maintain division between themselves and other believers. Brothers and sisters, this cannot be. Even if we are wronged by other followers, we are all on the same mission to advance the Kingdom of God.

It's interesting that Jesus says that unity (not healings, miracles, or extraordinary acts) is the evidence of our discipleship. Take a moment to pause and think about other followers of Jesus in your pool world. Is there anyone out there who might be a partner with you in pool ministry? Think of how Jesus sent his disciples out 2 by 2.

1 John 4:20, “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”
