Romans 2
Walk the Walk
In this section of Romans, Paul takes a closer look at the difference between those who have grown up under God’s law (the Jews) and those who haven’t (the Gentiles). But instead of fuelling division, he calls everyone to a deeper accountability—not to what they know, but to how they live.
This is the classic “don’t judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” Paul is drawing attention to how different people’s experiences of God can be. The Jews had the law—they were raised with Scripture, tradition, and expectation. The Gentiles had none of that—but were still capable of living according to God's moral compass written on their hearts. Both are navigating faith, change, and growth in different ways, but the destination is the same: becoming more like Jesus.
And here’s Paul’s message: Knowing the law doesn’t make you right with God—living it does.
