Unleashing FaithfulnessSample

Paul knew that the Corinthian Christians had received God's Holy Spirit because they demonstrated genuine faith in Christ and dedicated their lives to following Him. God gives anyone who trusts in Christ for salvation the gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul explained that when we become Christians, the worldly spirit we once had is replaced with the Spirit of God. Through Him, we gain the ability to understand what can only be understood spiritually. The Holy Spirit helps us grasp truths about God and faith that we could never fully understand on our own. It enables us to see life, others, and ourselves through God’s lens.
We are called to actively seek God's wisdom through prayer, Scripture study, and spiritual disciplines. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate your understanding of God, reveal spiritual truths, and guide your understanding of God's plan. As you read the Word this week, be open and willing to let the Holy Spirit shape your understanding of spiritual truths.

About this Plan

It's easy to look at characters from the Bible, early church leaders, and even modern-day leaders and assume that the goal is to have an extraordinary faith. Does that mean that faithfulness is marked by the extraordinary? This devotional will look at the words Paul left for his young friend, Timothy. As someone who lived an impressive life of faithfulness himself, Paul outlined how we can do the same in every area of our lives, no matter our circumstances.
