Faith That Feels Real: Part 3 - Finding God in CommunitySample

After hurt or betrayal, the lie whispers: I’m better off alone. Distance feels safe. Control feels safer. But isolation doesn’t just keep out rejection—it keeps out the connection we need to heal.
Scripture tells us, “Two are better than one… if either falls, one can help the other up” (Ecclesiastes 4). God designed healing to include people—not perfect ones, but present ones. When we hide our “3%,” the parts of ourselves we keep secret, loneliness only grows. But when we risk being seen, even in small ways, it opens the door for love, safety, and healing.
Loneliness isn’t solved by a crowd—it’s healed when we are fully known. God’s design for your restoration includes connection. You don’t have to take a huge leap. Just start with one small step toward letting someone in.
Reflect & Apply:
- What walls have you built out of fear rather than wisdom?
- How might those walls have once protected you—but now keep you from healing?
- Who is one safe person you could take a small risk with this week?
