When God Shows Up: Real Stories of Faith

DAY 15 OF 30

Listen on Spotify or Apple Music: “Goodness of God” by Bethel Music

As the Israelites battled their enemies, Moses stood on the hill with the staff of God in his hands. As long as his arms were raised, the Israelites prevailed. But when his arms grew tired, the enemy gained ground. Moses could not hold them up alone. Aaron and Hur came alongside him, physically holding his hands steady until the battle was won.

This story reminds us that God never designed us to fight our battles alone. He places people in our lives to carry part of the weight. When we grow weary, God strengthens us through community. The same is true for the young adults, widows, and women rebuilding their lives through Stand in the Gap. None of them could walk this journey alone. God’s goodness is revealed through the faithful presence of others.

Today, take a moment to remember those who have lifted you up when you felt weak. Send them a text or call them to thank them. And if you see someone else’s arms trembling under the weight of their struggle, step in and hold them up. Your simple act of presence could be the very means God uses to bring victory.

Reflect. When have you tried to carry a burden alone and grown weary? How might God be inviting you to let others come alongside you so that His strength can be revealed through community?
