Why We Can Be Confident in the Lord: Devotions for Girls (I Am Fearless)Sample

In Hebrew, the word fearfully means with deep respect and heartfelt interest. God fearfully made you with so much care and love, so you can be fearless in who God made you to be.
Knowing what you like and don't like can help you know more of who you are. God made you unique and special so don't copy anyone. Lean into God to continue to hold you, mold you, and lead you. That can help you kick fear to the curb!
Reflection:
What are some reasons you shouldn't copy other people, but should be who God made you to be?
What is a godly quality God has given you?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that I am Fearless. Help me to be confident and fearless in who You made me to be. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
What are some things you like and don't like? Write them in a chart to discover more about who you are. Here are some different descriptions to get you started. See which ones describe you:
Big Groups or Small Gatherings
Loud Environments or Quiet environments
A Few Close Friends or Lots of Friends
Time Alone or Time with Others
Arts or Sports
Talkative or Listener
New Opportunities or Routine
Remember that God created you uniquely and beautiful just the way you are!

About this Plan

Everyone is afraid sometimes. But what do we do with those fears? In these devotions, girls will gain wisdom about releasing our fears to the Lord and walking confidently in Him. These devotions are based on the "I am Fearless" chapter from "I am Yours: Prayers For God's Girl" by Wynter Pitts. Each devotion has a short teaching, reflection question(s), prayer, and action step. On their own or with a parent, girls can enjoy connecting with the Lord and growing in their faith a day at a time!
